A sister’s legacy. A brother’s promise. A movement to teach what healthy love should look like before harm begins.
Cathiana’s legacy
This began with love.
Cathiana Lisa B. Celestin
Richard’s younger sister was murdered on November 9, 2020, following a long and difficult abusive relationship. Some of the earliest warning signs began when she was young.
Richard cannot change what happened. But he can help make sure her story creates conversations that may change what happens to someone else.
The questions that followed
“When does jealousy become control? When does attention become monitoring? What could we teach earlier?”
What did we miss?
Recognizing subtle patterns before they escalate.
What do young people know?
Giving them language for boundaries, respect and self-worth.
What can communities do?
Building cultures where harmful behavior is addressed earlier.
A message for boys and men
Strength is not domination.
Jealousy is not proof of love. Control is not protection. Accountability is part of manhood.
